We have brought it back and the response has been tremendous! We are once again showcasing the Pinoy’s vocal prowess on the stage of the Philippine KPOP Convention! Audition videos poured in but we must do our job, hard as it may be, and choose only the top six!
Here are the finalists for KPOP Singing Star 2011 (in no particular order):

The person or group who will be crowned this year’s KPOP Singing Star/s will get:

- Guesting on TV5′s Hey It’s Saberday on January
- ULTIMATE CHAMPION BRAGGING RIGHTS
Please do no forget:
1. Finalists must be willing to go to the venue on the afternoon of December 29, 2011 for the rehearsal and briefing. Failure to do so can mean automatic disqualification.
2. Finalists may opt to use their audition piece or perform a new song, as long as it’s still within the allotted time of 3-4 minutes. The final music must be emailed to the organizers 3 days before the event.
3. Any changes in the line-up of members automatically disqualifies the group (unless one member cannot make it due to unforeseen circumstances). MEMBERS MUST BRING VALID ID’s on the competition day. Performances beyond 5 minutes also automatically disqualify the contestants.
4. Criteria for judging are as follows:
40% Voice Quality
35% Interpretation
15% “Stage presence” and Star Quality
10% Audience impact
The judges’ decision is final and cannot be appealed.
5. There will be one (1) runner up and one (1) champion for the KPOP Singing Star 2011.

PRELIMS
1. The singing contest is open to male and female individuals or groups consisting of up to four members. They may be made up of all males or females or a combination of males and females.
2. Participants must send an audition video online to be able to join. Email the following:
SOLO:
- Full name
- Dates of birth
- Complete address
- Email address
- Contact number
GROUP:
- Group name
- Full names of all members
- Dates of birth
- Complete address of representative
- Email address of representative
- Contact number of representative
* The representative may be a member of the group or their manager
3. IMPORTANT: Participant MUST include a PRIVATE video link of him/her performing their audition piece. This should be a video specifically shot for this competition. Videos from past performances will not considered.
- Start with a short introduction or a welcome message (30 seconds max)
- Only songs from Korean singers are allowed
- Minimum of 3 minutes, maximum of 4 minutes
- This will serve as the person’s audition video
4. Email these requirements to kpopconph@gmail.com with the subject title: KPOP Singing Star 2011. Online audition starts on November 11, 2011 12nn and ends on December 18, 2011 12nn.
5. Criteria for judging are as follows:
40% Voice Quality
40% Interpretation
20% “Stage presence” and Star Quality
6. The finalists who will be competing and performing will be announced on December 21, 2011. The number of finalists will be dependent on the number of auditionees.
FINALS:
